Daryl Herbert is a state registered Osteopath who has been practising Osteopathy in Chingford for 22 years. The practice moved to its present location, the Churchill Medical Centre in Chingford, in 1996, a private and purpose built medical centre comprising of both a NHS group GP practice and Daryl Herbert Osteopath & Associates.
The practice is situated in one third of the building incorporating a full time Osteopathy practice and part-time clinics for Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine, Hyponotherapy, Massage, Reflexology, Nutrition & Dietetics and Therapeutic Counselling.
Daryl Herbert & Associates has now been established for 15 years.
Daryl works full time four days a week at the Chingford Churchill Medical Centre incorporating all aspects of Osteopathy in his treatment of his patients as well as teaching Osteopathic Manipulation Skills at the British School of Osteopathy one morning a week and teaching on many post graduate courses on Osteopathic Manipulation Techniques in the UK, Europe, Scandinavia, Canada, Israel, Poland and the USA.
The above clinics are all private, running as self contained practices within the centre. Appointments with any of the therapists can be made at the reception, or by telephoning on the clinic number. The clinic itself is a new build, designed for patient comfort, easy access and up to date facilities, on the first floor there is a lecture room for conferencing and teaching of evening talks and Osteopathic Manipulation courses.

Carpal Tunnel Decompression Service
This service is for patients of Waltham Forest with possible Carpel Tunnel Symdroms and enables those full management to take place in the community.

TNS – Tibial Nerve Stimulation for Fecal Incontinence
Percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation is a new and safe non-invasive treatment for patients with faecal incontinence. The treatment includes an initial assessment followed by 12 treatment sessions and a final assessment. This service is offered by the Colorectal Team (Dr A A Khan & Mr P Giordano)

We are pleased to update you that the community colorectal clinics will continue to operate from Chingway Medical Cantre site providing the usual first-class service.
Please discuss with your GP if a referral to this clinic is appropriate.

Dr Bashier Dawlatly (MBBS, FYCOG, MSc) and his team provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment for all women 18 years and above with gynaecological problems. Mr Dawlatly and Miss R Oliver will continue to provide gynaecology services from Chingway Medical Centre, 7 Chingway, Chingford E4 8YD

Altogether Better are supporting Churchill Medial Centre to try working in a new way.
They have worked with 140 GP Practices around the Country to develop work called Collaborative Practice. This involves members of the Practice population (Registered patients) coming forward to gift time (volunteer) with their Practice and work alongside them to deliver activities that will make a difference to the lives of citizens in the community. Examples of activities are:
- Befriending lonely and isolated patients
- Running coffee mornings in the surgery
- Leading walking groups from the surgery
- Supporting people to use the online booking systems
